Prior to entering the insurance industry, Jody spent nearly 20 years in foodservice distribution and USDA-regulated food processing with Goldberg & Solovy Foods, Sysco Foodservice, and Kraft General Foods. He managed major client relationships throughout Southern California, serving leading restaurants, hotels, event caterers, and grocery retailers, including Ralphs Markets.
Jody later specialized in healthcare, overseeing Kraft General Foods' healthcare business across Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona, utilizing three distribution centers while managing relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, and long-term care organizations. His clients included Cedars-Sinai, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, UniHealth, and numerous skilled nursing and healthcare facilities. Following the formation of Dietary Products, a joint venture between Kraft General Foods and Baxter Healthcare, Jody was selected by President Doug Cassidy to represent the Western Region on the company's President's Advisory Council while continuing to manage his multi-state territory.
Since entering the insurance industry in 2003, Jody has built a successful career as an independent life insurance professional and business advisor. In addition to serving his own clients, he consults with insurance professionals on case design, product strategy, and advanced planning solutions, providing strategic support to advisors through several independent general agencies.
At DRAI Health, Jody has been instrumental in developing strategic growth opportunities, including facilitating DRAI's purchase agreement with First Valley Medical Group, establishing the company's strategic relationship with MOBI USA, expanding relationships within the fitness industry, and helping to advance DRAI's insurance initiatives. His career has been defined by identifying opportunities, connecting organizations, aligning strategic interests, and transforming trusted relationships into long-term partnerships that support sustainable growth and innovation.
